NOTE:  In 2004, a bill (H.B. 4078) that would a enact a version of UTC §408 (proposed §44C-4-408) was introduced, but then died.  In 2005, a similar bill (H.B. 2552) was introduced and is currently being considered by the Judiciary Committee.
